Good records do not need to be long. A small set of numbers, written every day, tells you more than a big notebook filled once a week.
Record every day
- Deaths, by house.
- Feed given.
- Eggs collected, if you keep layers.
- Any medicine or vaccine given.
Record every week
- A weight sample for broilers.
- Feed stock left in the store.
- Money received and money spent.
You can skip
Long notes nobody reads. If a number will not help you make a decision, you do not need to record it daily.
The aim is a habit your workers can keep up on a busy day.
